COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a year-long performance ensemble which emphasizes musicianship through understanding of jazz styles and music theory, improvisation, and the historical significance of jazz.  Performances include Fall and Spring concerts, community service performance and rating festivals. Attendance and punctuality required at all rehearsals and performances. Satisfies A-G requirement for UC enrollment.
