Biology CP

Our biology courses are tailored to meet the California NGSS Life Science Standards. The content of the course covers four major topic areas: DNA and Cells, Genetics and Heredity, Environment and Ecology, and Common Ancestry and Natural Selection.

That being said, the course is designed to build critical thinking and engineering skills using performance assessments rather than traditional multiple-choice tests. The goal of the course is to build important skills including designing experiments, asking questions, building models, developing arguments with evidence, and reading and producing graphical information. We believe that these skills translate beyond science and into any career or professional setting.
