COURSE DESCRIPTION: Beginning Dance introduces students to the techniques and fundamentals of multiple dance styles, including jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. This class emphasizes active student participation in movement and expression through dance. Students will have opportunities to refine their skills while exploring the artistic and technical elements of dance. When possible, exposure to live performances will serve as a platform for enhancing students' writing and speaking abilities through reflection and analysis. This course is ideal for students looking to develop both their physical and creative skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
