Spanish Speaking 5 AP - Literature (will be offered every other year)

OPEN TO GRADES: 11 & 12

CREDIT: 5 - Spanish credits per sem.

PREREQUISITE: Spanish Speaking 3CP & AP Language

A-G Pathway: E - Language other than English

OTHER INFO: A one-year elective course that may not be entered at the semester. Meets KHSD graduation requirements. Meets CSU/UC A-G entrance requirements.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 5 Literature AP is a rigorous level that will prepare the serious Spanish student to pass the Spanish Literature AP exam with coursework equivalent to a third- or fourth-year college literature course. The student will be required to take the AP exam. The course will focus on fine-tuning language skills through the study of authentic Spanish literature. This course will require extensive reading and class participation. This course is offered every other year. Enrollment into this advanced placement course requires commitment to and completion of the spring advanced placement exam.
