COURSE DESCRIPTION: The focus of this class will be on the advancement of writing skills from basic parts of speech and sentence and paragraph structure to a detailed study of the eight rhetorical modes of discourse, the Writing Process, and a research paper each semester to ensure satisfactory preparation for collegiate writing. The emphasis is on essay and research paper writing.
