Andres Murillo, Jr.
Hi, my name is Mr. Murillo. I have been a High schol teacher since 2007. Throughout the years I've taught different subjects like Anatomy & Physiology, AP Biology, Physical Science, Biology CP, Intro to Physical Science, and Intro to Green Technology. For this school year, 2021-22, I will be teaching Biology CP and Intro to Green Technology. I was born and raised in Mexico and completed my High School diploma there in 1991. After moving to USA in 1992, I enrolled in college and completed my Bachelors Degree at Cal State Stanislaus in 2003 while living in Modesto Ca. Right after that, I moved to Bakersfield and in 2007 completed my Teaching Credential from CSUB. I pursued the Masters Program at Concordia University Irvine and graduated in 2017.
I enjoy helping kids learn and discover the wonders of Nature and Science to develop, what I call, their "Scientific X-Ray vision". This will enable them to become better critical thikers when making decitions that affect us all and our Planet Earth.
I have also being the girls soccer Varsity coach since 2013. Here I help kids lear, practice, develop and master basic physical and mental skill. I also help kids understand that their academic comes before sports. The soccer program has won 3 SYL championships and I was fortunate to be their couch for the one in 2014 and 2020. Several of our players have earned recognitions in the All-league and All-Area teams. We currently have two graduates playing at Taft College and 3 at Bakersfield College.
