PREREQUISITE: Students must have a 2.0 GPA and be in good standing with attendance and behavior to enroll in this course.

OTHER INFO: A one-semester course. May be repeated for credit. Meets KHSD graduation requirements. Five units of high school credit are earned (per semester) for five hours a week at the assigned school.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course allows the opportunity for high school students to work under a credentialed teacher to explore the profession and work hands on with elementary age students in TK through 5th grade. It is a daily, two period class that requires students to be off campus at an elementary school site as they are transported via school bus. Students taking this class must be a junior or senior and have a G.P.A. of 2.0 or better. Grades are based on attendance (only three absences per quarter are allowed), a daily journal and a grade from the school where students are assigned. Students are required to uphold professionalism while at the school site.
